Liminality, Borders and Boundaries – Humanities Symposium of the University of Missouri

I was pleased to be invited to provide the keynote for the 2022 Humanities Symposium of the University of Missouri. The theme of the Symposium was “Borders and Boundaries” and that theme was applied in the broadest sense of those words across the humanities. My particular presentation, of course, integrated that theme with liminality.

I was joined by Honors College students who addressed particular facets of liminality in mini “TED” talks – such as Liminality and Time, Voluntary Liminality, and Involuntary Liminality.
