Tim Carson addresses conference

It was my pleasure to be one presenter at the 6th International Conference on the Future of Social Sciences and Humanities which met in Copenhagen this summer. An international group of thinkers and scholars presented papers on many current issues in their fields of study. My paper was Liminality as Pantheoretical Model for the Counseling Arts. It was loosely based on the recent book which I edited, Leaning into the Liminal: A Guide for Counselors and Companions (The Liminality Press, 2024). The paper has been submitted for publication and is under review now. I will share it here once it is published.

Interestingly, I was approached at the conference and invited to be a keynoter for an international conference based on the arts in Milan this October. My virtual keynote will focus on the interplay between liminality and the arts, in particular art as liminal ritual activity, art reflecting liminal social change, and the liminal aesthetics of art.
